Vitamin B5 Benefits
Pantothenic Acid or Vitamin B5 is essential for the body to help it function properly. There are many benefits of this vitamin which include wounds healing faster, fighting stress and depression, lower cholesterol levels and even reduce risk of heart disease. It can even help to fight against wrinkles and gray hair. B5 is also great for burning sensations in the hands and feet.
Age plays a specific role in the amount of B5 that you need on a daily basis. An example could be if you are a male or female between the ages of 14 and 18 than the recommended daily dose is 5 mg. But if you are between the ages of 9 and 13, you only need 4 mg daily.
If you are lacking Vitamin B5 in your daily diet, this could contribute to a variety of health issues. Some of these could include headaches, nausea, numbness, fatigue, cramps and even abdominal pains. Not only can B5 help to prevent these and other health issues, it has other functions as well.
This vitamin helps in aiding the synthesis of hemoglobin, is a neurotransmitter in the brain, is an adrenal stimulant and is an important role in the lipid metabolism. There are many different food sources that you can get the Vitamin B5 from. These would include but are not limited to peas, poultry, yeast, broccoli, cheese, eggs and milk.
As you can see, this vitamin can be found in many of the foods that you eat on a daily basis. One of the easiest ways to get enough of the B5 Vitamin is simply to eat healthy. Of course, you can also take a vitamin supplement if need be in order to get the recommended daily amount.
Vitamin B5 as well as other vitamins are essential to a happy healthy lifestyle so they can all work together to keep your body in great shape. You will find that you will feel better and healthier when you have the right combination and the correct daily dosage of the vitamins that your body needs.
