Vegetables Containing Vitamins

Vegetables are a very healthy source of vitamins; there are numerous vitamins that are contained in vegetables. Different types of vegetables containing vitamins are spinach, broccoli, lettuce, asparagus, avocados, squash, tomatoes, carrots they contain Vitamin A is very important for good vision, skin and hair. It helps maintain healthy tissues throughout the body, including the skin and retina, and is crucial to the formation of strong teeth and bones.

Other types of vegetables containing vitamins are green leafy vegetables, tomatoes, avocados. They are rich in Vitamin C which is best known for its role in maintaining an efficient immune system and as a powerful antioxidant. It also helps maintain the skin and heals wounds. It helps your body absorb iron and aids energy release. As this is a water-soluble vitamin and the body cannot manufacture or store it, vitamin C needs to be taken daily, and green leafy vegetables are a great source of Vitamin C.

A leafy vegetable, like asparagus, avocados are great source of Vitamin E, which is a powerful antioxidant and is believed to slow down the ageing process. It helps repair the skin as well as promote growth and formation of new blood cells. Other vegetables like sprouts, cabbage, and spinach are rich in Vitamin K which helps in helps to manufacture the coagulant proteins the body needs for proper clotting of the blood. It is also required for the proper laying down of bone.

Vegetables like carrots, pumpkins, broccoli, sweet potato, kale, spinach, avocado, broccoli, peas, asparagus and green pepper are rich source of Vitamin A, which helps growth and health of bones, teeth, skin, hair; maintains health of eyes; fights infection.

Vegetables like lima beans, asparagus, avocado, peas, artichoke, spinach, broccoli, corn, sweet potato, kale, potatoes, carrots, onions and green pepper, deep-green, leafy vegetables; grains, are rich in Vitamin B9,which helps in maintaining health of red blood cells.
