Two Joints for the Price of One
In today’s world of rush and hurry, finding the time for a decent workout can be a little tricky. We are all trying to work around something such as, if you are a college student and work full time, maybe you have a girlfriend and a demanding job with no time in between. These things can make it rough on a guy just trying to get a little time for himself.
This is where the magic of compound exercises comes in handy. Trying to budget quality time for a decent workout can be a little tricky. Compound exercises or Multi-Joint exercises are like the gyms magic diet pill. They are time conserving and also beneficial in the fact that they will help you to gain more muscle mass in a shorter length of time. Thus the time efficiency alone makes it all the worth while.
There are a variety of compound exercises that you can do that will work every party of your body. By doing this type of exercise, you are working on the growth of your entire body and not just parts of it. One example is doing squats, dead lifts and bench presses. This will cut back on the amount of time that you need to spend in the gym.
Other examples are front, side or reverse lunges and step ups or bench presses, dips and pushups or pull downs, pull-ups, barbell rows and dumbbell rows. These are also excellent additions to your workouts. They will help provide you with great time management.
Even all of these example workout routines are excellent additions, it is still important not to rely solely on these routines. Your workout will get stagnant and your growth will come to screeching halt. It is always important to have variety to your workout routine.
Also, don’t forget to warm up and stretch before and after every workout. This will help to prevent injury and help your body and muscles to continue working even after you have stopped for the day. So, rock on and get pumped the quick way.
