Top Ten Reasons Why You Are Not Losing Weight
Women sometimes tend to put on weight very fast, and though they might be exercising and dieting, they complain that they are not able to lose weight. Everyone tries their own ways to lose weight and remain healthy. What works for you might not work for others. Given below are 10 reasons why you are not losing weight.
You are not exercising enough
Sometimes the exercise you do might not be enough. You have to do cardio exercise, and strength training workouts, which is weight lifting.
Lack of sleep
Not getting proper sleep is another reason for gaining weight. Lack of sleep makes you feel hungry because it increases hormone cortisol in your body, which increases appetite.
Too much stress
Too much stress increases hormone cortisol, which increases appetite and increases mid section fat, which can lead to diabetes, cholesterol and even early deaths.
Eating too much
If you want to lose weight, follow a low calorie diet, but one that gives you the necessary nutrition.
Irregular exercise and uncontrolled diet
If you are not consistent with your exercises and not strict about your diet, then you will not lose weight.
You blow it on the weekends
Following a regular exercise routine and strict diet for 5 days a week and blowing it over the weekend by treating yourself to sumptuous food will not be of any use.
Have patience
The most important thing needed to reach your goals is to have patience. It is difficult to measure calories lost. It might take time. Have patience and enjoy what you are doing.
Medical problem or medication:
Sometimes a proper exercise program and diet may not help weight loss. This means you have a medical problem, like thyroid disease. Also intake of certain medicines can also increase your weight.
You have hit a plateau
There are times you have hit the plateau, your body gets adapted to your regular exercises and you might have to change your program.
You don’t need to lose weight
If you are healthy, and don’t have a risk of any medical condition like cholesterol, heart disease or diabetes, then you don’t need to lose weight.
