Top 10 Reasons For Failure Of Your Workout
You start working out and initially it seems to be an enjoyable experience. However, time passes and you hardly see any great results. You are frustrated because it seems that you are not getting what you expected, even after faithful workouts.
Some of the reasons for this failure are given below.
Warm up to keep up
If you do not warm up before exercising, your muscles will be under strain and you may injure yourself. Always remember to stretch your muscles and do the proper warm up routine that you need to do before getting to the actual exercises. You should ready your body to handle all the activity.
Keep your form right
Doing the right exercises the wrong way will do you no good. They will show you no results. Do your exercises as you are supposed to. Exercise in front of a mirror if you have to or take the help of a trainer so that you can maintain the right form during the workout.
Get the reps right
You should do the correct number of repetitions for your muscles to fatigue. If you do not push your muscles enough, the muscle tissue will not break and hence you will not find them increasing in either size or tone.
Do the right number of sets
You should do at least three to four sets for each muscle group; this will give you a complete workout.
Give your body rest
Sufficient time between workouts will ensure proper repair of your muscles. This will enhance growth.
Cool down
Just like a warm up is necessary, a cooling down is also necessary. It is important to cool down properly in order to prevent muscle soreness.
Take proper supplements
Discuss with a professional as to take the proper nutritional supplements. You might need them, not only to maintain your body, but also to cause muscle growth.
Drink lots of water
Exercising will cause your body to dehydrate. Therefore, keep yourself properly hydrated, especially during weight training.
Take a balanced diet
Apart from nutritional supplements and exercising, you need a proper balanced diet in order to maintain your health and keep any unwanted pounds off.
Sleep properly
Your body repairs itself during sleep. Therefore, remember to take enough sleep to recover well. It will also keep you fresh and going for the day.
