Things To Remember While Playing Holi

Holi- the festival of colours is all about celebrating the spirit of life. Yes, this Indian festival comes once in a year, which is celebrated grandly while playing colours. The colours are supposed to be natural and made of all natural resources; so that they should not do any harm rather do some good to skin and health. However with the time, the use of synthetic and chemical colours has been seen to have increased tremendously.   As a consequence of that, every year we come to know about many negative impacts of such artificial colours on skin, eyes and overall health.

Here, I would talk about certain things, which you should remember while playing Holi. I should suggest you to prepare yourself well before jump into plying colours. The first precaution you should take is to save your eyes, hair and any other bodily part, which you think is sensitive towards colours. Especially, emphasize the face and hair.

Using googols or sun glasses and cap is a must, I say. Even you can use temporary dental caps to save them from being coloured. If someone attacks you with colour on your face suddenly then keep your mouth and eyes shut tightly. Try to wear some bright coloured garments while playing Holi. Keep the car windows thoroughly shut, even if you don’t have an AC car.

Next, I would tell you about few things, which you should avoid from doing. These days, people, especially teens have come down to play Holi with eggs and gutter water. If your kid or anyone of you family is planning a Holi in that way then discourage him or her.

Never force anyone to play Holi. Try to avoid travelling or walking on the street on Holi. While playing Holi, always keep buckets of clean water in handy. If any kind of unwanted things happen then you can use it.
