The Trick to Losing Fat and Gaining Muscle
People are starting to lose their faith in all of these fad diets that they see on television and in the magazines. They are realizing that these quick fix diets do not work and often leave the user with even worse problems.
If you are one of many that are trying to figure out how to get rid of the excess fat on your body and replace it with lean muscle then you need to know the following information.
The fact is that burning fat and building muscle work hand-in-hand. You need to do one in order to get the other. Fat is stored in our bodies as fuel that the muscles use to burn for energy.
When your body has muscle it burns the fat with no problem. When you go on a diet to lose fat you are also losing muscle. The loss of muscle makes the existing muscles weaker and unable to burn the fat that your body has stored.
In order to burn fat effectively you need to build up the amount of lean muscle mass that your body has. The best way to do this is to exercise. There is no easy way out.
The truth is that building muscle mass takes exercise and there is no way around it. Building muscle mass is like any other body process. It takes time just like it takes time for a broken bone to heal. Broken bones need time and nutrients to recover.
Just like repairing a broken bone, muscles need nutrients to grow strong. When you are on a diet and watching the amount of calories you eat you are denying your muscles of the necessary nutrients and carbohydrates that they need to grow and repair.
The secret to building lean muscle mass is to feed your muscles and provide them with the nutrients that they need.
As your muscles begin to grow strong and healthy you will notice the fat begins to disappear. Strong muscles use the fat as energy to grow stronger. This is the basis for burning fat and building muscle. Try to focus less on burning fat and focus more on building muscle. The fat loss will come naturally.
