The Perfect Diet

We are all trying to find the perfect diet that will give us what we are looking for, whether you are trying to loose weight, gain weight or get the perfect abs. The bottom line is that the only good diet is a balanced diet. There cannot be enough said to have the right eating habits. Once you are able to accomplish this difficult feat, you will be able to do anything.

You have to have the right amount of the food groups. And don’t ever miss breakfast. When you hear that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, it’s because it is. If you can manage 5 to 6 small meals a day than you are in business. For some of us that can be a little rough with our jobs. So, eat at least 3 square meals a day. This is important.

The main source of your energy is going to come from carbs. But, you need to eat healthy carbs and healthy fibers. Instead of reaching for that candy bar, reach for a piece of fruit, whole grain bread or even some veggies. You need for your diet to consist of at least 60% of your daily food intake. For the perfect breakfast, have a bowl of oatmeal with 2 % milk and use chucky peanut butter and low sugar preservatives to give it that sweetness and crunchiness at the same time.

Believe it or not, fat is just as important. You only need to have 15% to 20% of your daily intake to be fat. Be careful with the saturated fats as they can be bad for your heart and your arteries. You can eat tuna fish, chicken or even turkey breast on 7 or 12 grain bread to make this part of your diet. Top it with some honey mustard, Gouda cheese and mesclun greens.

Don’t leave out the protein. You need up to 640 calories a day of the stuff. It is great for your hair, skin and don’t leave out your muscles. It is important to make sure that you only consume what you need for your body weight. Try a salad with some sliced almonds or pecans and throw in some baby shrimp, black beans and some cheese for good measure.
