The Perfect 7-Day Diet
These days anybody and everybody is into dieting. Most of them however do not realise the true meaning of dieting.
Going on a diet in no way means that you have to limit yourself to eating only greens so that you can lose a whole lot of weight. Many people do not understand that they need to eat healthy and not simply stop eating altogether.
A diet needs to have proper amount of nutrients, calories, vitamins, fibres and fats. Everything needs to be there in its proper proportion. You cannot eliminate the necessary components of a healthy meal and expect to remain healthy. You might manage to lose weight but that does not mean you are healthy.
This article aims at helping you to put together meals that are not only healthy but also delicious and sensible. So do not worry you will not have to go on a one piece of cheese-a-day diet.
Snacks
Now you can select a snack out of Haagen-Daaz or frozen yogurt bars. A single bar of the either can be your snack. These are approximately 100 calorie snack foods.
Grilled salmon
The ingredients are 3 ounces of grilled salmon steak, one small baked potato, one tablespoon of chopped chives, one cup grilled or oven roasted vegetables and two tablespoons to low-fat sour cream.
Recipe
Add a dash of lemon juice to the grilled salmon steak. Use the sour cream and chives to top the baked potato. Serve this with grilled or oven-roasted vegetables.
You can have a cup of strawberries for dessert.
Turkey breast, deli-style
For this you will need, seven and half ounces of deli-style turkey breast, three cups steamed broccoli, a single cup of boiled and strained onions, a quarter cup of cooked cranberries and 5 teaspoons of slivered almonds.
Recipe
Cook the turkey and top the broccoli with the slivered almonds.
You can have a Dole Fruit ‘n’Juice bar for dessert.
These quick and easy meal ideas should get you going for a healthier life. However, do not forget that 30 minute exercises 3 days a week will put that extra weight off.
