The Great Italian
Almost everyone either likes or loves Italian food. Trying to find a great Italian restaurant can become a search for some people. If you want to make some great Italian dishes right in your own home, check out the following recipes, have fun and enjoy.
To make a great salad dish, try antipasto de Verona. All you need is 2 medium heads of radicchio, 14 lb of prosciutto or bresaola in thin strips, 1 medium stalk of celery cut into thin strips, 14 lb of parm cheese cut in wedges, salt and pepper and extra virgin olive oil. Pull those salad bowls out of the cupboard and line them with the radicchio leaves then add prosciutto and celery sticks in even amounts. Top off with the parmesan and salt and pepper to taste with a little olive oil. Perfection!
Everyone loves pasta. Penne Alla Puttanesca is a great pasta dish. Ingredients are 2 cloves of minced garlic, 3 tbsp of olive oil, 1 can tom sauce, 1 jar of capers, 14 cup oil-cured olives chopped and pitted, 1 tbsp rinsed small capers, crushed red pepper flakes to your taste, 1 pound of penne pasta and 2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped. Lightly sauté the minced garlic in olive oil over a low heat and slowly add the sauce, olives, capers red pepper along with oregano ½ tsp. Simmer for 15 minutes and stir once in a while. Cook the penne pasta according to directions and serve with pasta sauce over top. Garnish with parsley.
For desert you can serve gelatto or your other favorite Italian ice cream with fruit over the top. You can always purchase a few different flavors that way your company can have a choice since not everyone likes the same thing.
Your friends and family will be impressed, or even your girlfriend at your superb cooking skills. These dishes will have any Italian food lover’s taste buds asking for more. You never have to tell them where you got the recipes from, just cook and enjoy. It’s possible that you may find yourself spending more time in the kitchen.
