The First Step to Weight Loss Success

firststepweightlossLosing weight is a big target for many of us. Naturally we all tend to find out ways to lose weight. The best way, however, is to take the healthy way. Going on this route, you would think of weight loss and healthy living as a way of life instead of thinking of it only as a short term gain to be had by making minor changes.

You would change your lifestyle and make it an ever evolving growth pattern. Any sudden lifestyle change would actually backfire and you would start to binge when you find that the change is not really fitting in with your individual style of life.

We actually feel that by introducing these changes, we are depriving ourselves of something. If we didn’t feel that way, there would be no binging.

If you have a healthy and positive relationship with food, you would be losing your weight much sooner than you expected. The binging would stop, the yo-yoing would stop and your body would respond in a positive way to good food.

The first step is to be conscious of what you eat. To do that, you need to understand what you eat and you need to note it down carefully too. Also note if your eating was the result of a binge or an emotional eating or it was because of stress. When you become conscious of what and when you eat, you would also know your habits and what role they play in your weight gain.

After a few days of observing yourself, you would see what your diet is made up of and where you need to improve. You would also come to know if you are eating as per your emotional patterns.

There are actually many people who use food as the ultimate source of comfort for them. This kind of tendency usually makes people gain weight indiscriminately.

Once you are aware of what is going wrong with your body and what the problem issues are with the weight that you have put on, you would be able to make many constructive changes in your body and weight process.

You would be surer of where your body is leading you. You would not only be able to get rid of excess fat, but would also feel great about your body and mind and would be more stable. You would gain in terms of general health also.
