It is really tempting to take a break from healthy eating after losing weight. So, most of the dieters start consuming the weight gaining foods as it is difficult to abstain for a longer duration.  But a few adjustments to regular diet can help in retaining hard-earned weight loss. One should weigh in regularly to keep a check.

It was found in a research that women having high levels of protein in the diets were able to maintain a good pound weight loss for more than a year. Those who consumed lesser protein daily sustained a comparatively lesser weight loss during the same period.
Higher amounts of protein are helpful because proteins stimulate the release of hormones that make us feel full.

Instead of acquiring energy from carbohydrate or fatty food, one should increase protein consumption in meals and snacks. Kidney beans or chickpeas are healthy option to season the salad with. Greek style yogurt is rich in proteins and can be replaced with regular variety.

Fruits and vegetable servings should be increased in daily routine. These colorful and pigment containing vegetables are very helpful in protecting the body from various ailments and diseases. Besides, the best part is that it prevents extra pounds deposition.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in a research found that women who ate atleast five servings of fruit and vegetable per day excluding potatoes, were able to loose 60 percent more weight as compared to those who consumed fewer servings. Those foodstuffs, which are fiber rich and watery, help by fulfilling the desire to eat.

The important of all is to start loving exercise whether yogic or aerobic workouts including walking, running etc.   Try to incorporate moderate and vigorous exercise alternatively for atleast 30 minutes in a day. Regularity of workout is the secret to gain maximum benefit.
