Tea Time
It has been revealed by the researches that if you are not drinking tea, then you are missing something very important. Tea is no longer a relaxant, just for grannies and stuffy Englishmen but is an important beverage to slot into a healthy lifestyle. On must know after water, tea is the largest consumed beverage in the world and it is responsible for various health benefits. Tea is prepared from the leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant, and the processing of these leaves serves us with different types of tea available commercially.
Green tea comes from tea bushes, mostly grown in China or Japan. Fresh leaves are picked and steamed or pan fired to remove the moisture. Leaves are further dried by rolling and firing to ensure that all moisture is released. There are many flavors like light, smoky, nutty, grassy, bright and many more.
Green tea is the most researched tea and has been found that it has high levels of antioxidants that may help the body to fight in various health problems from cancer to skin disorders like psoriasis and dandruff. It has been found that chemical compounds in black tea can prevent the growth of bacteria that causes bad breath. Other researches have also proved that high amounts of amino acids present in black tea may help fortify the immune system. Oolong tea is mostly served at Chinese restaurants.
It has been proved that drinking Oolong tea may encourage weight loss as well as help strengthening the immune system. It is also known to protect against tooth decay and is effectual for combating dermatitis.
