It is now common too for men to look for information about fitness from fitness magazines. However the pictures that accompany the articles are digitally manipulated and men who appear in them are on contract and put on certain supplements by big companies. But supplements are not necessary at all. Good diet and exercise can do about 95% of the job. Even with the supplements you still have to work hard to get results.
The irony of the fact is that the more expensive supplement is the less important it is. I want to propose here a supplement purchasing guide for you.

Protein powder
The most important need for a strong muscle building is protein. A good dose of protein will give you that great muscle you need. About 1 to 1.5 grams of protein powder per kg body weight is good for the average person. Some protein powders are specially formulated as either fast or slow acting for you to derive enough benefits from your intake.

Essential fatty acids
Fatty acids are another important thing needed in our diet. Once you have protein and fatty acids you only need your daily dose of carbohydrates. Fish oil which contains a great amount of fatty acids is also known for improving insulin sensitivity. It also prevents muscle loss. Fish oil also reduces the risk of cancer. You need about 6 grams of fatty acids daily. Multivitamins
Because we live very busy lives, we are not able to eat exactly as we should. We therefore need a good backup of multivitamins. Those who consume a lot of fruits and vegetables you don’t need multivitamin supplements. Multivitamins are third on our supplement purchasing guide.

Meal-replacement products
In today’s fast moving world, we are all looking for a convenient way of doing things. This has led to the production of meal replacement products. We must know that these products are filled with saturated fat and simple sugars. Read the labels well before purchasing any of them. Real food is still better.
