Stubborn Winter Fat
Old man winter is here once again and the fear of putting on those winter and holiday pounds is creeping around inside your head. Do not fear for there is a solution to your worries. Enjoy the great outdoors!
To get a brisk cardiovascular workout go cross-country skiing. This awesome outdoor sport lets you get in that cardio workout without even trying. You will work every inch and every muscle of your body. Remember to wear to right gear and you will be able to relax your mind and pump your body with enjoying the beautiful outdoors.
Another great form of skiing is downhill. Not only will you get the rush of speed that we all crave but your legs will get an excellent workout. The cardio that you will get is also very beneficial.
If you enjoy that morning run during the warm months then by all means you shouldn’t stop just because of a little cold. A run in the fresh brisk morning air will not only wake up your mind but your body as well. It’s a great form of a cardio workout and can also help you to clear your mind for the start of a great day.
Other great winter sports that you can go for are snowboarding, hiking, broomball, hockey or ice skating and even snowshoeing. With any and all of these sports warming up and doing a proper stretch is very important.
You also need to make sure that you have the proper equipment for each sport as well. The right running shoes, ice skates and even being dressed warm enough are big factors in making sure that you not only get a great workout but stay healthy and safe as well.
So instead of sitting inside and feeling all hum drum because old man winter has arrived, kick him in the butt, get out there and enjoy the winter fun that is waiting for you. You can even enjoy a long walk or run with the dog for some company. I bet he will enjoy it just as much.
