Stress busting fitness tips

Working full time, taking care of the kids and cleaning the house seems to never end. On top of all this you have stress. These things can even add stress to the stress that you already may have. But, exercise has a way of releasing some of that stress and making you feel like a brand new person.

Before any workout that you do, warming up is essential. Your warm up should last at least 10 minutes each time. Not only will the warm up get your muscle ready for a heavy work out with weights or aerobics, it also provides them blood and nutrients that are important.

By doing a warm up first, you will relieve most if not all of the stress in your muscles before you even begin to workout. Cardiovascular exercises such as aerobics or even martial arts not only raise your heart rate but this type of exercise does great things for your stress levels.

T’ai Chi is a slow moving type of exercise that helps you to relieve stress by opening your mind. It can be a very uplifting and energetic experience. Another great stress reliever is Yoga. It gives you a chance to relax your mind, muscles and get rid of the stress that you have had for days.

Pilates is another great stretching exercise that releases stress and tension as well. Our shoulders tend to feel a lot of our stress and headaches can come from tension. By standing straight and lifting your head up and back, you will be able to stretch your neck. Swinging your arms in a full circle, slowly, will ease the tension in your shoulders.

Another way to relieve tension in your head, neck and shoulders is to rotate your head clock wise and anti-clockwise. You will feel the tension ease away slowly but surely. You could also push your shoulders back as far as you can, lift them and then relax. Your shoulders will thank you for it.

All of these exercises will help to ease your stress and your tension. Just a few daily exercises and you could feel like a new person in no time at all.
