Split Workout
Some men feel that they cannot get a good workout for their entire body in one day. Therefore, they actually will split the workout into two days for the top half and the lower half of their bodies. This is a great way to complete your workout as long as it is done properly.
If you do a two day split, you may want to do something along these lines: on Monday your chest, on Tuesday your legs, on Wednesday your shoulders, on Thursday your back, and on Friday your arms. It doesn’t necessarily have to be in that order, but you get the idea.
Everyone has their own reasons for wanting to organize their workouts this way. Time seems to be one of the biggest. More of your time is free. This also gives your body the amount of time needed to rest in between each body part workout.
Also, this allows your body to gain muscle. When you over train, your body does not get the necessary needed amount of time for rest. That means your muscles do not have enough time to repair. This in turn means less muscle mass.
By training with a two day workout, you are getting the necessary rest that your body needs. You also need to make sure that you plan the workout at the optimal time of the day so that you have plenty of rest if your job keeps you active. Don’t forget that protein is an important part of your diet.
You need to make sure that you are eating properly for this method to work for you. Even though your diet plays a big role on a daily basis, when you decide to train a special way it can become even more important; otherwise, your body might shut down and no longer give you productive results.
Make sure that you set a plan with added cardio, as well. If you overdo it, your body will revolt. Do your research, watch your diet, get plenty of rest. Above all, don’t forget to stretch and warm up before and after every workout.
