Shampooing
Most of the people shampooing the hairs are not aware of the dos and don’ts of it. One should know the very first step is to properly saturate hair and scalp by soaking with cool or warm water.
Hot water causes dryness for scalp and hair, so it should not be used. Only little quantity shampoo, almost the quarter size of palm should be applied. It should be applied into scalp as well as hairs with both the hands to distribute evenly. Now rub it to the scalp with help of your fingertips for proper absorption. The main objective of doing shampoo is to make your scalp clean and tidy. Do not tussle with your hair and massage very gently. Take care that and let the lather disperse all through hair before rinsing. It is important to wash and repeat in case of oily scalp or if you massage your hair with oils before shampooing.
After rinsing, the conditioning of hair is also very important. So use any good quality conditioner on the hair ends as well as scalp and rub it thoroughly to disperse evenly. The best way to apply conditioner is from the shaft of hair downwards the ends. Massage any conditioner onto the scalp only when the scalp looks very dry.
Comb the hair to distribute conditioner evenly. Leave it for few minutes after combing. It will help to smoothen the cuticle. Now rinse thoroughly the shampoo as well as the conditioner from the scalp. While showering, tenderly lift your hairs to allow the water to get to the scalp. When Hair is completely rinsed and clean by moving the fingers from the scalp towards the hair ends. It is believed that rinsing with cold water is he best.
The shampooing frequency usually depends on the texture of the hair such as straight or wavy hair. Shampooing and conditioning is required everyday for straight hair to maintain a silky, glowing effect. It is seen that Curly hair gets more voluminous due to its frequent rinsing, thus, it is good to wash your hair with shampoo and conditioner in alternative day.
