Seven steps to permanent weight loss
contributed to the current sedentary lifestyle of most individuals and leads to an obese population. It has led entrepreneurs to sell health in pill form or through diets, which may offer short-term solutions but continue to fail in the long run and plausibly cause harm to the body.
For longer-lasting effects, small changes in your diet and lifestyle can help to bring about the desired effects. The seven steps mentioned here will not only help you lose weight, but also keep the weight off.
1. Water, the most natural and healthy drink should be had as often as 6-8 times a day. Apart from washing away the toxins present in the body, it keeps you hydrated, and helps individuals feel full with smaller quantities of food. This will help you remain slim and fit.
2. Make a conscious effort to stick to more fruits and vegetables or other natural foods. Including them in your daily diet helps burn fat in the long run. Avoid fried food and restrict your consumption of roasted food. .
3. Avoid eating fast food; that’s really junk food and leads to obesity and associated diseases.
4. Opt to be a vegetarian. All the available data suggests that a vegetarian lifestyle is healthier. It has been established beyond a doubt that non-vegetarians are more prone to diseases of the heart, cancers and diabetes. They are also more likely to be obese. Vegetarians find it easier to maintain the ratio of their weight, height and age.
5. Even if you have an exercise regimen, you’ll find a long walk very exhilarating. Regular walks, though better in the mornings, are enjoyable in the evenings too.
6. Observe fast once a week. It not only helps to detoxify your system, but lowers the levels of stored fat too. On fast days, restrict your diet to fruits, fluids and juices only. Keep away from cereals and alcohol.
7. Massage your body periodically to increase blood circulation. An oil massage before a bath makes it all the more enjoyable. Bathing itself is an exercise. Indulge in bathing frequently to lose weight.
A massage before a sunbath is effective in activating your body, thus enabling you to burn more calories. Any massage, for that matter leads to improved blood circulation that contributes to a healthier heart.
Massage the upper half of your body, above the stomach, in a downward direction while the lower portion of the body is stroked in an upward direction for better circulation of the blood.
