Running – the ideal fat loss solution.
Are you trying to lose weight? If you have ever tried to get in shape, you know that working out and staying active are key factors of success. However, the only problem is finding the time and energy to actually do it. We know that we should be out there being active, getting the right amount of exercise, but we often choose to stay on the couch instead.
Walking and running sessions – why you need both.
I want to introduce a special exercise plan to you: the walking and running plan. With this plan, you will be getting your exercise from two different types of activity.
There will be walking sessions and there will also be running sessions. First, the walking: This means about fifteen minutes to half an hour of standard walking, not power walking, no special information required.
You may wonder how an ordinary walk may help.
When you walk, you do not need special equipment: you don’t need to remember your running shoes or a towel, for example. You can just step out of the front door and you have already begun.
The main benefit of these types of walking sessions is that you will actually do them. Are you bored during your lunch hour? Feeling unfit and confined indoors? Go for a walk outside; try the park if you have one nearby.
The change of scenery will do you good, and you will be staying active without getting sweat all over your work clothes. If you finish a walking session and still have some time and energy left, you are always free to take it to the next level with a running session.
How to do a “running session” workout.
There are various opinions on how much effort is enough when you are running. When I tell you to run, I mean that you must maintain speeds of at least 6mph for ten to twenty minutes. These types of sessions will do you the most good.
Walking sessions may seem like a waste of time. If you can manage to do more running sessions, that is fine. However, remember that a walking session is a great substitute for sitting in front of the television or snoozing in bed that extra twenty minutes. Next time you are bored or feeling a little lifeless, try a brisk walk to give you a boost. It can only help you.
