Natural Remedies
There are some very effective natural remedies to help in the problems like headache, heart burn etc. These are safe and great reliever of this kind of a problem without any side effect.
Heart burn due to acidity or some spicy food consumption can be eliminated by the turmeric, which is a bitter herb and stimulate the flow of digestive juices along with the food, thus, preventing acid formation. If turmeric taken as a spice does not relieve heart burn, then turmeric capsules available at health food stores can be eaten before a meal to prevent acidity.
Headache is a common problem and can be relieved by brewing up some rosemary regularly. Rosemary causes blood vessels to dilate the blood flow across the brain, thus, relieving headaches caused by constricted blood vessels. Add 1 teaspoon of rosemary in a cup of hot water and soak it for 10 minutes. Strain it and drink a cup three times a day, which can work wonders.
Ginger is helpful in migraine. Ginger inhibits the release of a substance called thromboxane A2, which in turn restricts blood vessels dilation, thus, preventing migraine. It can be consumed in many ways such as, grate ginger into juice, pickled ginger, and use fresh or powdered ginger when you cook, or chew some crystallized ginger candy daily.
Thyme is found to be effective in sinus pain or pressure. In case, sinus secretions are clear or white, a warming, drying herb, such as thyme is really effective. Thyme is a very effectual, strong antiseptic and is a prevalent conventional remedy for respiratory infections. A cup of fragrant thyme tea prepared by steeping 1 to 2 teaspoons of dried thyme in a cup of boiling water for about 10 minutes, if taken three times a day is really beneficial in the problem.
A drop of peppermint essential oil when rubbed into the center of a bite or sting of the insects can bring quick relief.
