Natural Face Masks for Acne Prone skin
Excessively oily skin is often a problem for most. Very oily skin leads to clogged pores causing dirt and bacteria to thrive which in turn results in acne. Though acne can be very annoying and stubborn to get rid of, following a good skin care regime and a healthy diet can go a long way in solving acne problems.
Use of face masks made using completely natural ingredients is a great way to combat acne. These face masks if used once or twice a week provide excellent nourishment to the complexion, besides the natural ingredients in them have no side-effects.
For acne prone oily skin, clay based face masks are recommended as clay masks such as French Clay and Fuller’s earth absorbs the excess oil from the skin, leaving it refreshed. Try out some of the natural face packs mentioned below and see the difference it makes in treating your acne.
Strawberry and Yoghurt Mask
Salicylic acid is used in treating acne and is a key ingredient in most over the counter acne medications. Strawberries are a natural source of Salicylic Acid and hence this face pack is great for treating acne. The yoghurt in this face mask acts a soothing agent and also helps lightens the complexion.
To make this face pack, mash a few ripe fresh strawberries with a few spoons of yoghurt. Apply the pack on the face for about 15 minutes and then rinse.
French clay and Honey face mask
This face mask is truly a wonder pack for acne prone skin. The French clay soaks up all excess oil and impurities from the skin, while honey balances the clay beautifully by gently moisturizing the skin and lightening it, besides helping in the removal of impurities.
To make this face mask, blend French Clay with honey and leave it on the skin for 15 minutes. Once the pack has dried, rinse it first with lukewarm water and then gently wipe off the remaining pack with a clean lukewarm steamed cloth.
Try these simple all natural face packs to effectively tackle acne and see a radiant looking complexion!
