Myths Regarding How To Stay Fit
We come across many people and their sayings concerning staying fit. However, many a times, it happens that those guidelines are proved to be myth later by medical science. Here, I would deal with few such myths concerning how to stay fit and slim.
Skip meals to shed extra kilos
Most we believe that we can lose few extra kilos or flab, if we skip few meals regularly. Let me tell you that it is a myth. Our body never functions on this line. Rather, body requires healthy meals at regular interval. Try to have three full courses apart from snacks twice in between.
More of carbohydrates make you fat
Food enriched with carbohydrates can lead you to gain weight over the time. However, this is not true. Rather, it’s the notorious extra calories, which make you heavier. Still, one needs to have carbohydrates according to the requirement.
Late night eating is bad for health
You will find many health magazines and experts advising you not to go for late dinner. Here, I would like to say that this statement needs to be modified. Yes, it is true that the body can burn more calories in the day time than in the night. The reason is that we are active in the day time. However, it should not be understood that dinner after eight is forbidden. If you are quite active and work at night then there is no problem in having late night food, as our body clock does not have any connection with calories.
Fruit juice is better than water
Water is the basis of our living. So nothing can be compared with water. It is true that fruit has more nutritional value. It does not mean that our body will remain healthier if our intake of juice is more. I would warn you here. Juice also contains a lot of sugar in the form of fructose. So, over consumption of juice increases the risk of gaining weight. Give importance to water.
