Montignac Diet
There are many different diets that are available for anyone to try. Each type of diet has its own theory on how to lose weight and, of course, they all claim to work. One type of diet is called the Montignac diet. With this method, you are supposed to eat certain types of food in a certain order to help the digestive track.
One of the nice things about this type of diet is that carbs are allowed. The only difference is that carbs are to be eaten alone and not combined with proteins. When you are planning your meal, eat meat with a salad or pasta with a salad. Even though you can eat carbs on this diet, you need to eat a better quality of carbs, such as whole grain foods.
You also need to be wary of processed foods and sugars as well. Eating vegetables in large quantities is great, and fruits should be eaten by themselves as well. The Montignac diet has 2 phases. Of course, the first stage is the weight loss stage, and the second stage is the maintenance stage. This method helps you lose the weight and shows you how to keep it off. In the second phase, you actually get to enjoy foods such as dark chocolate and red wine.
Naturally, there are pros and cons to this diet as with any diet. Following the diet plan is easy and you get to enjoy a lot of different foods. You will need to cook on this diet and be careful about getting the right nutrients. This diet will also last indefinitely.
You can eat at restaurants, you can have alcohol in the second phase, and the best part is that you don’t have to purchase special foods. This diet is very easy to follow and can work to help you become healthier and lose weight if you follow it properly.
So, if you feel that you just don’t have it in you to try just one more diet, remember, this is not a diet. It is a lifestyle.
