Make Post Pregnancy Weight Gain An Easy Affair

Weight gain after pregnancy is a common complaint among new mothers. Even though the new achieved motherhood brings happiness in life, but it horrifies by bringing some unexpected side effects as well. Gaining of those extra kilos is the most disappointing aspect of post natal period.

Before explaining about how to lose weight after pregnancy, you should be aware of some facts. It is a common phenomenon for many that they find their face, neck, hands and ankles swollen up after giving birth. No need to be horrified, by this phenomenon. It’s natural. Yes, women, who had to have a lot of IV fluids during the time of labor, they are prone to weight gain.

Irrespective of this natural gain of weight, there are ways out to shed the extra kilos and maintain an attractive figure. However, you need to be patient and persistent in your efforts.

Drink, drink and drink a lot of water. Yes, you need to gulp down at least 10-12 glasses of water daily. If it’s becoming difficult to drink plain water then you can squeeze a lemon or mix some juice in the water and have it.

In post pregnancy, the intake of food increases for mothers. They frequently feel hungry as a result of which they end up eating snacks whatever comes handy and readymade. There is no problem in having snacks many times a day, but they should be healthy, but not the packed processed food.

Don’t rely upon the food available in the market, which claims to be suitable for post pregnancy time. Don’t get swayed away by such promises. Rather prepare healthy and fresh meals and snacks at home and have them.

Once your body gets back to normalcy after giving birth, start doing light exercise and gradually increase them with doctor’s consultation.
