Low Carb Healthy Snacks
With more and more people turning health conscious, there has been a rise in the consumption of low fat carb snacks. Having such healthy snacks in hand is a good idea as along with fulfilling one’s hunger, they also provide required nutrition to the body without leading to any form of unhealthy eating. Thus instead of munching potato chips and fatty snacks, one should adopt these low carb healthy snacks which provide the dual benefit of taste with health thereby aiding in the maintenance of a fit and slim body.
A low carb snack should ideally have protein, healthy fat and some fiber. Thus, one can go in for snacks like celery with peanut butter or tuna salad, roasted soy nuts, hard boiled eggs, beans sprouts, low carb shakes and also cheese with a few apple slices. Apart from the low carb snacks available in markets, one can easily prepare these snacks at home for the entire family. These include taking one cup cut vegetables with ¼ cup low fat ranch dressing for dip. Similarly, one can take half a toasted English muffin topped with 2 ounces melted low-fat cheese and ¼ sliced apple and one can also try half a cup guacamole with six baked tortilla chips.
Getting hold of low carb healthy snacks does not require spending a bounty. These snacks are cheap and easy as it involves simple two stalks celery with 2 tablespoons peanut butter or one cup low-fat cottage cheese with ½ cup fruit cocktail canned in water. Low carb snacks play an important role in satisfying people’s food cravings along with providing numerous health benefits. Hence, it is a good way of munching and satisfying your hunger and taste without sacrificing one’s health. So the next time you feel hungry between meals, grab a healthy low carb snack and fulfill your taste as well as health.
