Lose weight, get fit and live longer
February 21, 2009
Everybody knows the benefits of keeping a balanced weight and exercising to maintain your health. However, we see fewer people actually putting what they know into practice.
The fact remains that people do realise that they need to be healthier but often times, they look and seek the easy way out. This might not always work and may even be unhealthy, but most people fall into this trap.
The article discusses some common excuses that people give for their lack of exercise. Further, the real reasons behind these often fake excuses are also shown. Read on to find out if you are one to make such excuses.
I do not have enough time
This is just a cover up for procrastinating exercising. If you do not have time today, then chances are that you will not have any time in the future also. The point is to make some time in your busy schedule so that you can include exercise.
You can even go for small bouts of exercise that last from 10-20 minutes through the day instead of a single long period of half an hour or an hour of exercise.
I cannot afford it
Taking a long walk everyday will hardly cost you anything more than a few hundred calories. This is the simplest exercise that anyone can do and it can also become the time that you spend with your friends and family.
I just do not feel motivated enough to begin
The thing you can do is to find such an exercise or any physical activity that you will enjoy doing. If you like to play a game like tennis, golf or basket ball, then that will be good enough for you.
You can even try to start something social such as group walk or something similar. If you are one to get easily bored, then hiring some personal trainer for yourself will be good and they will motivate you.
