Researches prove that at any age or stage of life one can change many of the features that influence fitness and longevity.

At every age, there is a need to explore out ways to enhance your life. Good health is the primary requirement for longevity, loving relations with others, an active sex life, and staying sharp count are some other demands.

The most important remedy to retain youth and maintain oneself is “exercise”.
Exercise lessens chances of getting illnesses, and also keeps bones strong and healthy. It helps you maintain your vigor and liveliness in later years. It directly acts as a stress buster and improves mood and mental functioning. So do exercise to live a longer, healthier life.

It has been repeatedly proved that fitness prolongs life. It is found that women who began walking a mile a day are about half as likely to have died of heart disease or cancer.  A study revealed regular biking reduced the death rate by 29% in men.  Even gardening is very useful to health. It was found that people who spend an hour a week, gardening as a pastime were less likely to die of cardiac arrest.

Exercise also reduces the risk of some detrimental lifestyle and illnesses. The unfortunate part is that we all know the obvious benefits of exercising but still do not exercise.
A difficulty, of course, is that exercise is not easy for many people who suffer painful or disabling ailments. If regular outdoor walk, is not possible then lifestyle activities such as gardening or housecleaning can be of great help. These lifestyle activities are found to be equally effective in improving cardiovascular fitness and lowering blood pressure.

Within a week, the most balanced exercise regime that can be followed is a combination of aerobic activity, strength training, and flexibility. People, who perform the routine exercises regularly, delay the decline in heart and lung function that often follows age.
