Know How to Get Relief from Coughing
Before you try to get rid of something, you need to know the root cause behind it. When you know the cause then only you can try to remove it. So is the case with coughing. In layman language, we can understand it by saying that coughing occurs, when the breathing get interrupted.
In other words, when the airflow to body through nostrils gets interrupted, we start coughing. So, coughing is a kind of self defense mechanism with the help of which, we give air to avoid breathing congestion and sensitivities.
In the next step, I would tell you about few easy methods to get rid of coughing. However, if your cough has been there with you since weeks then immediately consult your physician, as it could be symptoms of tuberculosis or any other serious infection. Here, I would be talking about the common cough, which usually stays with us for days and go with home remedies.
You will find hundreds of home remedies and prescriptions to get rid of coughing. I will suggest you few simple steps, which I have found very effective.
Firstly, I would suggest you to drink something hot daily and more than two times a day for few days. You can drink any kind of hot drink. You have the option of choosing your favorite hot coffees or teas.
Secondly, if you don’t take any kind of drinks then you can try hot water. Yes, instead of drinking cold water or normal water, try to drink lukewarm water throughout the day. This works in me wonderfully. The lukewarm water throughout the day helps in clearing the esophagus.
Thirdly, you can also try to massage your body with warm oil and then have a shower. Take this warm oil bath just before going to bed.
Last but not the least; try to keep yourself as warm as possible.
