The first step is going to be figuring how fit you are now. This can be done by visiting your doctor for a physical. The doctor will take an analysis of your overall health and let you know where you are now, so that you can put a weight loss plan together.
Find Out Your Current Weight In Order to Determine Your Goal
Here is where the reality check comes in. You are going to have to find out how much you currently weigh. This is actually your starting point. From here, you will determine how much you want to lose and set a date to have this accomplished.
Stay Focused On Your Goal
In order to keep focused on the goal, you can get yourself a little post it note and post your goal on it and put it in places where you can see it like the fridge, car steering wheel, bathroom mirror, and even somewhere on your drawer in the bedroom.

At this point, you may be thinking that you need to spend hours at the gym tying to accomplish your weight loss goal. However, you only need to start out with just 30 minutes a day doing some sort of exercise at least three times a week.
