Joint Pains

Joint Pains can disrupt the smooth life of a person which can lead to severe pain and discomfort along with a reduced activity of that joint. Joint pains can affect one or more joints and can be caused by injuries, ailments or nutrition deficiency. The common causes which lead to this problem include overexertion or strain of the joint muscles, injuries like fracture, osteoporosis, arthritis, infection of the joints and other problems like autoimmune disorders.
Since joint pains can bring one’s life to a standstill, it is essential to treat it through natural and herbal ways which can be effective without ant threat of side-effects. There are various herbs like Boswellia, Ashwagandha and others which have been used since ancient times to relieve pain associated with joints along with aiding in the overall strengthening of the body. In addition, it has been found that ginger root can help in treating musculoskeletal pain without leading to any side-effects. For joint pains which are not caused due to the problem of arthritis, simple methods like rest, exercise, warm baths, massage and stretching exercises can be extremely beneficial. Anti-inflammatory medicines are also available to help relieve pain and swelling. However, these medications should be taken under the supervision of a doctor.
By bringing about a certain change in one’s dietary habits, one can prevent oneself from the painful problem of joint aches. This includes eliminating certain food items from one’s diet like dairy products, citrus, alcohol, meat and vegetable oils. One should use olive oil and other essential fatty acids like flaxseed, pumpkin and sunflower oil along with ensuring that the body gets adequate amount of nutrients, especially Calcium, for the overall health of the bones. One should also ensure that the body gets adequate amount of magnesium due to its anti-inflammatory and anti-arthritic properties. In addition to these basic and natural remedies, one can also go in for alternate treatments like physiotherapy to ease the discomfort associated with joint pains.
