Is Egg Good Nutritionally?
Previously eggs were considered full of high cholesterol which was very risky for health. But now the nutritionists have found that though a large yolk of an egg contains five grams of fat it is not so high thread for human health like other kinds of cholesterols. So, we need to know more about the content of an egg.
• Egg has fat which is not like other kinds of fats. The nutritionist advises to eat egg’s fat as it benefits our health.
• Egg’s yolk contains vitamin A, which is good for the skin and growth, vitamin D strengthens the bones, vitamin E protects cells from oxidation, vitamin B1, B2, B6 and B12 help to accomplish essential internal procedures of the body.
• The white part of an egg contains the purest protein full of minerals such as Iron that helps to create red blood cells, Zinc is good for enzyme stability, Calcium strengthens bones, Iodine controls thyroid hormones and Selenium works as vitamin E.
Now we should know about cholesterol. It is a food stuff which is found in foods that contain fat, such as dairy products, eggs, seafood, poultry and meat. Cholesterol of the foods raises the cholesterol of human blood and causes various kinds of diseases. But cholesterol is not necessarily bad for health. Cholesterol in the foods is called dietary cholesterol which does not raise blood-cholesterol. In the blood there are two types cholesterol, i.e., High-density Lipoprotein (HDL) and Low-density Lipoprotein (LDL).
Eating egg and fearing cholesterol are not the same. Recently, the scientists have found that cholesterol in the food is different from the cholesterol in our blood. So, eating eggs does not have the fear of cholesterol though the yolk of egg contains enough fat.
However, it is necessary to know how we should eat eggs. Though the egg has low soaked fat, experts recommend that one should eat not more than two eggs per day. The people who do not want to raise cholesterol in their blood they avoid eating the yolk of the egg as it mainly contains fat. We should avoid eating contaminated eggs as 5000 people die each year for it. Undercooked egg is also hazardous for health. We should be careful of this. As per experts’ advice, egg should be boiled at a temperature higher than 250F.
