Hypertension Diet – Lower Your Blood Pressure Naturally

Blood Pressure is one of the most common ailments people are now facing. The competitive world has made people over sensitive, resulting in increased level of anxiety.

This is one of the main causes for Blood Pressure. The next reason is lifestyle. Many executives overwork and they work odd hours. The body lacks exercise.

To save time, they take junk food. Because of anxiety, many of them do not get proper sleep. All these add up to the cause for Blood Pressure.

Remedies:

Remedies can be classified into two viz., prescription medicines and natural medicines.

There are many prescription medicines which help to reduce the blood pressure. These have to be taken under the supervision of a physician. But they have several disadvantages.

First of all, these medicines have to be taken regularly and in most of the cases they have to be taken for life. Prolonged use of the medicines has many side effects.

Natural medicines include herbs, etc. These alternative medicines do not have any side effects.  Apart from the herbs, alternative systems of medicines like homeopathy, etc. have medicines to reduce high blood pressure.

Another method recommended by the physicians is meditation, walking or some physical exercise. These methods have the answers to reduce hypertension or blood pressure. Yoga is another popular method for reducing hypertension.

Another method normally suggested by the doctor is to have controlled diet like reducing salt intake, avoiding deep fried foods, junk foods, etc. As far as salt is concerned, the researchers say that in the normal course one tea spoon of salt is sufficient to meet our daily salt needs for the body.

But the quantity we use is almost three times more than what is required. Researchers are of the opinion that salt content in packed food is three times more than what the body normally requires. A survey conducted in many countries including America has proved this fact.

This extra consumption of Sodium is one of the main reasons for High Blood Pressure. So the more we restrict on the additional salt we use, the better it is for reducing the blood pressure or hypertension.
