How to Treat Oily Hair

Are you one of those whose oily hair seem as an obstacle to the trendy stylization and natural bounce of hair? Instead of feeling low and depressed, one can try out some natural methods which can help in the effective treatment of oily hair. There are various treatments available for oily hair ranging from daily hair care to the intake of a healthy diet.

The best way to deal with oily hair is frequent washing with mild shampoo. The best shampoo for oily hair are those which are clear in color because the clearer the shampoo, the less chances of it possessing any junk which could lead to greasy hair. In addition, one can apply astringent to the scalp as that would help in the absorption of excess oil from the scalp. People with oily and greasy hair should avoid the use of conditioners. Moreover, one can also use a natural mixture to naturally rinse the hair which can be made at home by mixing one teaspoon of Aloe Vera gel and one tablespoon of lemon juice with one-fourth of shampoo. One can also try applying a puree of carrots for 15 minutes and rinse the hair to remove excess of oil from it.

In addition to shampooing and cleaning one’s hair, one also needs to rethink about one’s diet as diet plays an important role in deciding the overall look and health of one’s hair. One should reduce dairy fats and greasy foods and instead include lots of fresh fruits along with an additional intake of water to reduce the oily nature of hair. This is because the oil in one’s hair is secreted by sebaceous glands which overproduce oil when one increases one’s intake of fatty foods. Thus by bringing about a change in one’s diet along with some natural home made treatment, one can effectively manage the problem of oily hair.
