How to Motivate Yourself to Lose Weight
So, you opted for a diet to lose weight, but gave it up after a week or ten days. Next you tried aerobic exercises, only to give them up mid way. Ever thought why you keep giving up the chosen mode of reducing your weight? It’s because you did not motivate yourself enough to lose weight.
We all know that a proper balanced diet coupled with exercises is bound to cause weight loss, yet quite a few really achieve the desired results. Here are a few smart tricks that will keep you motivated for attaining the goal you have set for yourself. Nevertheless, please have realistic goals.
Trick 1
Buy an inexpensive new dress one size smaller than your normal size. Hang it around in a prominent place so that you get to see a number of times during the day. Make sure to keep trying to fit into it from time to time.

Dress up in your bathing suit and walk before a mirror.
Trick 3
Collect a few photographs of your idol and keep a photo each at a prominent spot, so that you get to watch it every now and then. For instance, you could stick a couple of them in your bathroom or on the mirror of your dressing table. Next to that, stick a full-length photo of yourself. That works like a reminder and discourages you from to going to the refrigerator for in-between meals snacks. Sure, you may keep a photo in a notebook too.

Mark the date of some important forthcoming social event on your calendar. That would discourage you from going astray from your pre-defined diet programme.

Keep a weighing scale and your calorie chart handy.
Apart from keeping yourself motivated, follow basic healthy practices and a few tricks again. For instance, did you ever realize that starting your meals with soup, apart from being healthy, prevents you from eating in excess?
Similarly, having salads before your meals also helps you to cut down on the main course. Simple activity of cleaning your room or walking briskly to the bus station is helpful in bringing you closer to your target.
