How to lose weight fast
Almost everyone has a battle with the bulge. Who would not want to lose 10 pounds, almost 5 kilograms in 2 weeks? This is an attainable target with the help of proper diet and exercise.
In pursuit of weight loss, there are a few things that should not be attempted. Short term diets will not work. Most of them are based on the idea of starvation.
There are diet pills too that claim to help lose weight. They do nothing other than suppressing the appetite. This in turn will affect the metabolic rate. These methods while offering immediate weight reduction will only result in a quicker weight gain. They do not allow for a long term sustained weight loss.
The challenge is to make your appetite and diet work for you along with exercise. Here are some ideas to help you lose weight fast.
The first step is to cut junk food from your diet. It is important to cut out foods high in saturated fats and sugar. One should avoid sodas and red meat and replace it with fresh fruits and vegetables, fish and chicken.
Green leafy vegetables are also recommended. A well balanced and nutritious diet is a great staring point. This sets the tone for your weight loss goals.
It is important to eat 6 small meals a day. This way the metabolic rate keeps kicking throughout the day and helps to burn fat consistently. Avoid 3 square meals and opt for 6 smaller meals to see a visible difference.
Set up an exercise regimen. It is not important to train very aggressively. Moderate exercises couple with a balanced intake is the way to go. Walking and jogging are preferred forms of exercise.
Using a treadmill for about 30 minutes will give the desired workout. Try other moderate forms of exercise like yoga, stretching, and aerobics. Plan a schedule of 45 minutes every day of the week or at least 5 days a week.
The above mentioned three pointers, of followed consistently will help you lose 10 pounds in 2 weeks. On a long term basis, it will help achieve specific goals.
