How To Lose Belly Fat?

A big belly has been linked with the risk of heart diseases and now studies have shown that belly fat increases the risk of early death. People with belly fat have double the risk of early death than ones who don’t experience this weight problem. Excluding smoking and drinking, belly fat is the next biggest risk of early death.

If your waist is larger than 40 inches (for men) and 35 inches (for women) you are at higher risk for heart diseases. The best thing you can do is lose weight.

Tips to reduce belly fat:

•    Doing crunches or sit ups do not help you lose belly fat, as these exercises do not burn out the calories that you consume. You have to do activities which increase your heart rate, and burn the excess fat. . A combined program of weight training and aerobic exercise, every alternate day, for an hour will help to reduce excess fat from your mid section.

•    Eat limited quantities of calorie controlled food.

•    Trans fat increases the fat tissues in the abdomen and increases body weight.

•    Sodas contain extra calories. So drink water instead of soda as it is calorie free.

•    Consume low fat yoghurt at least once a day. This will help to reduce belly fat and the calcium in the yoghurt is good for your bones.

•    Perform simple exercises with a stability ball to flatten your middle.

•    Some women try hormone replacement therapy (HRT) after menopause to cut off belly fat. HRT has got risks and benefits, so consult a doctor before trying it.

A calorie controlled diet rich in fruits, vegetables, egg, fish, lean meat, whole grains, seeds, beans, nuts and low fat diary provides you the nourishment you require, and also helps you to reduce your waste line.

The real secret to losing your belly fat is doing regular exercise at least an hour everyday and eating a calorie controlled balanced diet.
