How to Hard Cook Eggs in the Microwave

Egg is known for being rich in proteins. But is nutritional value is much more. It contains 18 nutrients. It is rich in Vitamin A, D and E. Earlier eggs were not consumed that much but recently, the new theory that egg is a vegetarian food, has increased the number of egg eaters. This has created a new category – eggeterian. Often people, who consume eggs and don’t eat flesh, refer to themselves as Eggeterians, or Vegans.

It’s a bit boring to eat same thing everyday. To overcome this people make the routine food in different ways. Eggs can be cooked in different ways too. Boiled eggs, egg curry, omelets, scrambled egg, egg biriyani, egg rolls, egg kebabs, egg sandwich, stuffed eggs, fried egg rice, egg salad, eggs in coconut milk, egg stew, egg balls, egg casserole are few varieties of egg dishes. Eggs also used in the preparation of cakes, pastries and cookies.

The egg dish which we are going to discuss now is ‘Hard Cook Egg’. Hard cook egg is made in microwave.

Requirements

Apart from egg and microwave, following ingredients are required:

a)    Custard cup
b)    Cooking oil
c)    Plastic wrap( for microwave usage)
d)    Tooth Pick

Procedure

Follow the below directions:

a)    Take the custard cup and grease it well with the cooking oil.
b)    Break the egg into the greased cup.
c)    Take tooth pick and pierce the egg white and egg yolk gently a few times.
d)    Cover your cup with plastic wrap.
e)    The next step is to cook the eggs. Now place this cup in microwave. It takes 1 – 1 ½ minutes to cook a single egg, 2-2 ½ minutes to cook two eggs and 3 ½ -4minutes to cook 4 eggs.
f)    Once the eggs are cooked, take the cup out of the microwave. Allow the eggs to cool for sometime.
g)    Cut the eggs into slices and serve with toasts and bagels.

Important Note:
Though this recipe is very easy and less time-consuming, still be very cautious while making the hard cook eggs. If not done well, the egg yolk may explode in your microwave.
