How to Get Big Muscles

getbigmusclesEven if you spend a lot of time in the gym you may not know how to make the most of this time and increase the size of your muscles. There has been a huge boost in gym memberships in recent years.

However, there has also been an increase in inexperienced fitness trainers and people going to the gym without experience.

Aim for Strength

A lot of information these days talks about intensity training. They say that the quantity of muscle you increase in size is related to the amount of sets and repetitions that you do.

The majority of this information is incorrect; you need to lift heavier weights to make stronger muscles.

Use Compound Exercises

Compound exercises are movements which utilise a range of joints and muscles, therefore allowing you to use heavier weights. The types of exercises included in compound exercises are squats, pressing exercises, dips and pull ups, and dead lifts. All these movements allow you to use heavier weight.

Performing the exercises correctly

Firstly you need to study how to perform the exercises correctly this can be in a book, on the Internet, or in person with a trainer. This will teach you which exercise helps to build muscle faster.

These will allow you to try each exercise, and judge for yourself which give the best results. Exercises such as dead lifts, squats, and bench presses should be performed picture perfect.

Eat Well

To enable you to build muscle effectively you must ensure you have the correct diet. You need to ensure you have enough fuel to support the muscles growth that you are aiming for.

Your body will not grow unless you feed it correctly. You must ensure you are eating approximately 2g of protein for every pound that you weigh. In addition to this, you must eat a high quality range of carbohydrates and fats.

Rest and Sleep

Your body will replace and rebuild muscle tissue whist you are resting as your hormone levels, especially your anabolic ones are at their highest while you are asleep.

If it is possible to try to achieve up to 8 hours sleep a night and you will see your muscles grow.
