Weight gain is something that isn’t easy to do and you probably know this already. While most of the people find overweight problems and struggle to keep the kilos off, others find it just as challenging to put weight on. It is due to improper diet and unhealthy practices that make many people lose their weight. Skinny guys often say they can eat anything they want without gaining weight. They think they’re blessed with a fast metabolism Here’s how to gain weight for skinny guys.
1. Eat every 3 hours- If you are under weight and want to gain weight you should eat meals after every three hours.
• Breakfast- Skipping breakfast is the reason of being skinny. You need calories from very first hour of getting up there is a long gap between your night meal and breakfast and body need more calories at that time.
• Lunch & dinner- Prepare double portions while making breakfast as 1 portion for work/school, 1 portion when you get back.
• Snacks-You can take nuts, fruits, dry fruits, curd, cotton cheese, sandwiches or milk in your diet.
• Post workouts-whenever we perform any of the activity our body burn calories you can take fruits, milk shakes, oats and whey proteins at post workout diet.
2. Drink Lots of Water-Inactive people should drink about 2% of their body weight, full-time active people should drink 6% -10%. People who do physical activities need to drink as they lost most of water of the body by sweating.
3. Avoid alcohol beverages- If you want to gain weight you should avoid taking caffeine and nicotine as caffeine and nicotine are good stimulants and help to increase the metabolism of our body. Avoid having these stimulants in excess quantity to help your body retain maximum nutritional value from what you eat.
4. Protein intake is must-Protein is called the repairing element of the body. Protein is essential to the body to enable the immune system to function and for recovery from illness. If you are recovering from illness, it is important to include adequate protein in your diet. Sources of protein are: cereals, nuts & seeds, Soya products and pulses. Milk, yoghurt, cheese, and free-range eggs are also excellent protein sources for the non-vegan
