How to Gain Weight – 3 Top Tips to Building Muscle

When attempted effectively, the body can gain weight and build muscle instead of fat. Over a period of time with regular exercising, the muscles get toned and give the body an over all lean and toned look.

Here are some tips to gaining weight, building muscle and staying healthy.

Eat regularly: Do not skip meals. Eat 6 small meals in a day. This should comprise of breakfast, lunch and dinner with 3 snacks included.

You can snack on fruits, nuts, biscuits and yogurt to gain energy and weight but not fat. Skipping meals should be avoided at all costs. It is easy to accommodate 6 meals in a day by eating smaller quantities at each meal and planning effectively to eat throughout the day.

This keeps the metabolic rate constant. This kind of focus will help you to put on weight.

Eat healthy: It is very easy to binge on junk food and attempt to gain weight. High sugar, high fat and high calorie foods aid in instant weight gain. Foods rich in saturated fat are the easiest solution- however; these should be avoided since they are unhealthy.

Instead opt for healthier choices like salads, yogurt, and nuts. Also have a balanced diet with proteins, fat, carbohydrates, dairy products to get well rounded nutrition.

Exercise: Exercise moderately. A light to moderate exercise regimen 5 days a week will help burn the calories and fat and convert it to muscle. Muscle is denser than fat and adds to weight. Also, toned muscles make for a fit and lean appearance.

Putting weight is not very difficult- it requires a certain amount of focus and healthy eating habits along with some exercise!
