How to control dangerous blood sugar through natural food?
The prescription medicines for diabetes have many side effects, particularly when the patient takes them for long time. But even dangerous high blood sugar can be brought down by taking following natural foods:
Bitter Gourd:
As the very name suggests, this vegetable is bitter in taste. But it has a good medicinal value for diabetic patients. Bitter Gourd has plant insulin which supplements the insulin in the human body. One can cook it like any other vegetables.
Juice of Bitter Gourd, taken twice a day on an empty stomach is sure to control blood sugar. Some make a powder of Bitter Gourd by cutting it into small pieces and drying it in the open. This is powdered by grinding. This powder is taken twice a day.
Cinnamon:
Prevention is better than cure. Take about ½ teaspoon of Cinnamon daily to prevent diabetes. Some soak a piece of cinnamon in the tea which helps to regulate the blood sugar level.
Fenugreek:
This is another natural food that regulates the blood sugar. Take about 30 grams of fenugreek and soak it in water and then make a paste of it. Take this paste on an empty stomach.
Those who are diabetic can take about 3 teaspoons of the powdered fenugreek either with milk or with water. The best way is to add some fenugreek in the daily cooking.
Grape fruit:
Grape fruit has the characteristics of controlling blood sugar level. By taking about three grapefruits every day, it is possible to reduce blood sugar level.
Amla:
Amla has much medicinal value. After removing the seed, Amla juice is prepared. Add this juice with the juice of Bitter Gourd. This combination of juices should be taken daily on an empty stomach for about two months.
Gymnema Sylvester:
This is an herb widely used in Ayurveda. Take about 4 grams of this herb daily to control diabetes.
Jamun Seed:
This is also called Indian Blackberry. Take about ¼ teaspoon of powdered Indian Blackberry seed with 1 teaspoon of honey.
Raw Garlic:
Like Amla, even Garlic has much medicinal value. Take about 3 to 4 grams of Garlic every day.
Neem Seeds:
By taking a pinch of seeds or some leaves of Neem twice a day, it is possible to control diabetics.
Bael:
By chewing the leaves of Bael, blood sugar level can be controlled. The fruit of Bael is dried and powdered. By taking about 5 grams of this powder every day, it is possible to control diabetes considerably.
