How Cardio Can Benefit You
It has always been in style to be fit and healthy. Our bodies are a gift and we need to treat our bodies well so that they will reward us during our lifetime. The best way to maintain the health of our bodies is to do cardio exercises.
What constitutes cardio exercise? Cardio exercise is any form of exercise that works large muscle groups in a regular and continuous fashion. Cardio exercise raises the heart rate between 60 to 85 percent of your resting heart rate.
Some of the most common forms of cardio training are walking, running, aerobics, bicycle riding, and swimming. Cardio exercise is a form of aerobic exercise because your body is moving from one motion to another.
How does cardio training benefit your body? First, it gives you a boost of energy and a higher level of endurance. Second, cardio training can prevent certain diseases such as heart disease.
It can also prevent diabetes, obesity and high cholesterol. Cardio training works to strengthen the heart and lungs. By just doing low to moderate cardio activities you can prevent these diseases. Some examples of low to moderate cardio activities are walking and jogging.
Cardio training can also help you manage your weight. When you perform cardio exercises your body burns calories. This will help you lose weight. If you are already at your goal weight, cardio exercises will help you maintain your weight.
To learn what type of cardio training is needed you should speak with your doctor to find out how much weight you need to lose. Cardio training will also help you burn excess body fat.
Cardio exercise is a great way to eliminate boredom. If you are sitting around the house doing nothing, put some sneakers on and walk around the neighborhood. It’ll keep you energized.
Cardio training is an essential part of losing weight and improving your health. Start a cardio program that includes at least a half an hour of exercise a day for three to five days a week.
If you are exercising to lose weight then perform cardio exercise five times a week. The more you exercise, the easier it will be to lose weight. Do not over exert yourself though.
The key to starting a cardio exercise plan is to make the decision to start immediately. Find something that you like to do. It can be walking around the neighborhood or riding a bicycle.
Set a goal for yourself and try to reach that goal. In conjunction with an exercise plan focus on eating healthy.
As you become more comfortable with your exercise routine you will be able to increase the intensity. If you have started off with walking, try walking briskly now. If you like to run, increase your speed.
Eat a light snack before doing cardio exercises. This will give you enough energy to fuel your workout. Do not eat too much prior to working out because this will make you feel tired and could even give you cramps.
