Lemon Facial Mask
Lemon is a rich source of vitamin C. It has healing properties and lemon facial mask can be used on all skin types. Take 2 tea spoons lemon juice, one tea spoon honey and a pinch of turmeric powder. Mix well and apply all over the face and leave it on for 20 minutes. Wash it off with normal water.
Masoor Dal Facial Mask
Soak two table spoons red masoor dal over night. Next morning grind it to make a fine paste, add one table spoon rose water and milk to make a smooth paste.
Apply on your face and neck and leave it on till semi dry. Afterwards wash it off with normal water. Apply moisturiser if required. Masoor dal helps to dry out pimples and it prevents pimple scars. It makes your skin clear and improves complexion.
Nutmeg Facial Mask
Take one tea spoon nutmeg powder, one tea spoon cinnamon powder and one tea spoon honey. Mix together and gently apply on your face.
Leave it on for 20 minutes and wash it off with normal water. Nutmeg is anti bacterial and it helps to soothe inflammation and cinnamon helps to cleanse the skin deeply.
Basil Facial Mask
Basil is antiseptic and it contains excellent healing properties. It removes all the impurities from the skin to give you a clear and glowing skin.
For facial mask for pimples; take 5-7 basil leaves, crush them to make a paste. Add a pinch of turmeric powder and one tea spoon honey. Apply on your face and leave it on till it is dry. Wash it off with normal water.
Coriander Facial Mask
Grind fresh coriander and squeeze out the juice. Add one tea spoon rose water and apply it on your face till it is dry. Wash it off with normal water. Fresh coriander heals and dries pimples and it is an excellent skin tonic.
Ajwain Facial Mask
Take 30 grams Ajwain powder, add 25 grams plain yogurt. Mix well to make a smooth paste, apply the paste on your face and leave it on for 30 minutes. Wash it off with warm water.
Sweet Lime Facial Mask
Take two table spoon dried sweet lime peels and grind them to make a fine powder. Add milk to make a smooth paste and apply on your face for 15 minutes. Wash it off with normal water to treat pimples. Dried sweet lime peels are available in the market or you can dry them at home and make powder. Keep the powder in an air tight jar and use when required.
It is a good idea to steam your face before apply facial mask for pimples as it helps the mask to work better. You can use any of the above mentioned masks on regular basis till the pimples are cured. Always apply face mask gently without rubbing.
