Home Remedy For Cold And Cough

With the season is changing, it is quite common to catch cold and suffer from dry cough. Though this cold and cough is not very harmful, but it is quite irritating. It stays for few days but its effects like block nose, dry cough, irritation in throat, body ache and etc give a real hard time.

There are medicines, which can cure this seasonal suffering, but many physicians also advise to go for home remedy to get rid of this cold and cough. If you have been facing the cold and cough since a very long time then you should immediately consult your doctor. Home remedies are suitable, when you catch cold due to change in season.

Let me tell you some tips, which can help you to get comfort from the dry cough, running nose, nose block or sore throat.

To get rid of dry cough, gargling is the best way. Yes, take a mug of drinkable water and then warm it while adding half tea spoon of salt in it. Once it is warm, squeeze few drops of lemon juice in it and then gargle. You should do gargling thrice daily for three- seven days at stretch. You will get sure result.

If you have sore throat and a block nose then squeeze out half of a lemon and add one fourth tea spoon of salt and five to seven pepper after crushing them completely. Now, again warm the mixture for some time. Once the mixture starts boiling take out and let it cool down a bit, so that your mouth does not get burnt. Yes, don’t let it cool down much or else it would not be that effective.

The above solutions are for adults, but not for kid. If your kid is undergoing similar kind of problems then for him rely upon honey and Tulsi. Take out few Tulsi leaves and crush them off to get the juice out of it. One spoon of Tulsi juice is enough. Then, you add quarter spoon of honey in it and let you kid have it for three-five days. According to the age of your kid, the amount should be varied.
