Home Exercises to Build Your Upper Body

upperbodyexerciseThere are exercises you can do at home to build your upper body. You do not have to go to a gym to get fit. You do not have to pay a monthly fee either. You can workout in the comfort of our own home

Stand between a doorframe. Let yourself fall forward with your arms stretching holding on to the doorframe and repeat. This gives your arms a good stretch while using your own body for resistance to strengthen your arms.

Push-ups are something you can do anywhere. They are excellent to build upper body strength. Push-ups work your biceps, triceps, pecs, and lats. Push your muscles to fatigue.  This will break down the muscle so it is ready to be repaired and grow.

Pull-ups are another great exercise for your upper body. Create a vertical pole between a doorway or somewhere else in your home. If you have, a swing set it is an excellent place to do pull-ups.

Triceps dips are another upper body strengthener. Use a steady chair, lower yourself off it, and hold. Then pull your self back on to the chair. Work yourself to fatigue. This uses your own body weight for resistance.

Find some three to five pound objects in your home that you can hold comfortably in one hand. You can do bicep curls and tricep extensions with it. They are both great exercises for your upper body.

Remember to allow at least 24 hours between workouts. It is during rest that your body is repairing itself and building muscle. Try to get at least eight hours of sleep a night.

Eat a proper diet, rich with lean proteins, whole grains, fruits, vegetables, and mono-saturated fats. Cut your caloric intake down if you need to lose fat.

Add some aerobic exercise like walking, jogging, or biking. This will speed up your metabolism and give your lower body a workout too. These are all things you can do outside of a gym. This is a simple easy to do home workout in which you will see results.
