High-Carb, Vegan Diet Causes Major Weight Loss

If you are trying to find a new way to lose weight and feel great, try a vegan diet. This is a plant based diet and it improves your sensitivity to insulin. This is more effective than eating meat. There have been studies that show women who eat a plant based diet are less likely to be overweight and obese.

It is shown that women who are meat eaters have a tendency to be overweight. A plant based diet is less in calories and very healthy. Vegans also have a lower rate of disease such as diabetes, high blood pressure and heart disease. This is because that type of diet actually has less fat and they eat plenty of healthy fruits, nuts, veggies and whole grains.

There are three different types of vegans: lacto-ovo vegetarians, lacto-vegetarians and vegans. The type of vegan that you are depends on the type of foods that you eat. Meat, fish and chicken are excluded from all three types, although some will eat eggs.

If you are trying to find this type of diet, you may need to make some changes to your current diet and lifestyle. Such as with your milk, replace the cow milk with soy, rice or almond milk. Butter can be replaced with water, vegetable broth, wine or nonfat cooking spray. All of these are good for sautéing. If you are baking you should use canola oil.

Instead of regular cheese, you should use soy or even nutritional yeast flakes. Either one of these can be found at a health food store. If you are going to omit eggs from your diet, use a commercial egg replacer. As you can see, there are just a few changes that you may need to make.

Don’t forget to keep in mind that you need to exercise and eat healthy. Cut back on the fat in your diet; eat lots of veggies, fruits and rice. Pastas are a great addition as well. If you choose to adapt this type of lifestyle, you may not loose all your weight overnight but, you will get into shape fairly quickly.
