Helpful Tips for Dieters

tipsfordietersAlmost all of us at some time or the other consider going on a diet program for obvious reasons. Irrespective of the plan or means you employ for achieving the needful, it is of utmost importance to define your goals for a successful execution of your plan.

Unless, you have set your goals how do you measure the rate of success?  And goals here mean goals jotted down on a diet register. It will help you to keep reward points along with the goal.

It means, if you lost more than the targeted weight, you should reward yourself by indulging into a bit of your favorite snack.

It is a very common phenomenon for most of the diets to fail to give the desired results as invariably these diets make you feel hungry. The planners of such diets report this as a healthy sign, meaning that the plan is being effective.

The realization that feeling of hunger, when stretched a bit too far, drives away the dieters.  Dieting doesn’t mean that one should continue to starve.

Here’s a simple trick to avoid the feeling of being hungry all the time, and thus overeat at the prescribed time of eating. Instead, of having the full-prescribed quota of food in one meal, break it down to two meals.

That way you can eat at shorter intervals and thus remain satiated. Always bear in mind that the size of your stomach is of the size of your fist. Restrict your food helping to that size.

Generally we tend to eat five to six times that. Another very practical trick is to drink lots of water. Apart from removing toxins from your body,it keeps hunger away for longer intervals; it’s especially helpful to have a glass of water just before meals. That way you will feel full even with smaller helpings of food.

Finally, before zeroing down to any diet plan conduct your personal survey and analysis in consultation with your personal physician.

Whatever holds good for your friend may not prove to be as good for you. Don’t get carried away by those catchy ads promising you a weight –loss of so many pounds in so few days.

All these ads are designed to hook people who are desperate to lose weight. Mind you, there is no magic wand to make you lose weight so fast. Were it so, the population of over weight people wouldn’t be rising as fast.
