The 10 pounds you want to lose were surely gained gradually over time – in fact over many months. The weight might not represent a problem as such because it was gained during those moments of a little overindulgence which were not followed by checks.

You have below a few tips to help lose those 10 pounds.

Choose the time

It is very important that you try to lose 10 pound at the right time. That right time is the time when you are feeling very good and satisfied with your life.

Trying to lose 10 pounds at a time when things are generally not well with you, when you are under a lot of stress might lead to very high rates of failure and make things worse. Weight loss is a personal issue and very much related to self esteem.

Change your diet.

As much as possible, try to change your diet to make it more balanced. You don’t have to starve yourself for that reason.

What you have to do is to try not to get more than a third of your calories from fatty foods. You have to eat more fruits and vegetables and also vary your diet as much as you can. You can try new ideas and meals.

Monitor your progress

It is very difficult for most people to see the results of their diet programs in the early stages of it. They are therefore unsure if the diet is working. You can’t even notice it if you lose one pound.

It is therefore necessary to keep track of your progress so that you know how you are doing. You can do that by calculating how much calories you eat a day and how many you burn. The difference shows whether you are losing weight and how much.

Get friends

One great way of losing 10 pounds is to do it with friends. You will not only support each other, you will also engage in fun activities together.

Make realistic plans

The goals you set for yourself should be achievable. It is not necessary to try to lose large amounts of weight in a short period. You can make some simple adjustments to your diet to help you lose 1 pound a week.

Following these simple tips can make you lose the 10 pounds easily.
