Most people feel that the refrigerator is a place to keep your beer, coke and the previous day’s leftovers. It is also a machine that is used for storing several healthy eatables. Today where our kitchen and storeroom are kept to the full with lots of junk food and packet additives, this appliance will be very useful to store healthy eatables.
It is not a difficult task to store healthy food staples. The essential thing is to know the importance of the stuff and have it handy. The fridge will always have the essential items stored in it so that you get the essential nutrients readily supplied to the body. These are the important food items that and should be purchased, when fresh.
Water
Plain and basic, your body requires water. Water removes the toxins from the body and supplies the essential nutrients to all the body cells. Lack of water will result in dehydration, headaches, and difficulty in carrying out normal activities. Water is very important for your health.
Daily serving: You may use bottled water while travelling, however, save some money and store a good amount of filtered water in the refrigerator everyday. On an average, you need to drink approximately eight glasses of water everyday.
Orange Juice
This is a vital and rich fruit juice that you can purchase making it an excellent and healthy food stock and refrigerator staple. Researchers have found innumerable health benefits of the orange juice. Some of the benefits are it improves the immune system and controls the blood pressure. Orange juice consists of vitamin C in abundance, which helps in fighting diseases such as common cold.
Daily serving: You need to store orange juice in your fridge. Flavored orange juice and pure orange juice are completely different. You can drink around 8 oz everyday and try drinking it during the morning time.
Eggs
Eggs are inexpensive and at the same time can be stored for a longer period of time and also a healthy food stock. Eggs are rich in proteins and although high with cholesterol, it is beneficial for the body. Make sure you eat them in moderate levels and they are not only excellent breakfast food – it can be eaten during lunch and dinner as well.
Daily serving: Eggs are good because it consumes less time for preparation and there are various ways and method to prepare it. People say that having an egg everyday is healthy which is debatable, however you can have few servings on a weekly basis to stay healthy.
